    Felony conviction record?

I have a nephew with 1 California violent felony conviction and 1 strike on his record. As a result of that, has he lost any hunting privelidges he had here in California? Thanks...

Maybe he shouldn't break the law? And a felony at that

+1 If I'm not mistaking, unless there are no weapons around cause they aren't allowed around weapons.

Bow hunting is one option. Another is hunting with a muzzle loader in one of the few States that allow felons to hunt with muzzle loaders. I've heard that Texas allows this, but you'd have to double check. In California felons can't possess muzzle loaders.

            Or hunting with raptor.

You can get your rights restored, but with a violence quotient, that's not likely.

No gun ownership of any kind. He can't even own Ammunition. He can't be around guns at all. Breaking these rules in Kalifornistan he is subject to a mandatory 5 years that even a soft Judge can't dismiss.

One recent event was a non-violent convicted felon (done while a dumb kid) who went to a Target Range and rented a handgun with friends. He got caught and is doing that 5 years now.

              This is serious stuff.

Felons in California can't be around guns, so bow hunting would be his only option.

From what I've been told, moving to another state won't change things either.

You should have said lost his firearms rights in all 50 states.
