Are there any ranges in CA that allow rapid fire.....Usually they don't, I guess due to safety.

Richmond Rod & Gun Club has a range that is set aside on different hours and days just for rapid fire. You can also rapid fire at some of the "self serve" BLM ranges.

Sharpshooters INC. doesn't really mind, unless you're just being ridiculous about it. If you're being silly, they might say something but I've never had any trouble over there.
"The Firing Line" in HB is downright annoying, though! I was doing 3-shot drills with my Makarov, to try to practice and the guy came over the loudspeaker and said "one shot per second".
I thought he was talking to someone else, at first but after the next drill, he called out my lane number and repeated "one shot per second". Now, I'm not "dirty harry" or anything but all my shots were hitting the paper and at no time was I "unsafe". I think I'm going back to Sharpshooter after my 1 year membership is up at the Firing Line...Comment
