BudsGunShop: ship ARs?

I found a sweet AR .308 rifle on BudsGunShop.com and want to order it, but I read in their policy on CA that they do not ship semi-auto rifles to our state.

This is peculiar because they stock CA legal M1As, Saigas, and other CA stuff

I would ask them directly, but they make it pretty complicated to contact customer service on account of them being really busy.

Has anyone had any luck getting an AR from these guys? I wonder if they would be willing to remove the mag catch before they ship it out (as it is legal for an FFL to receive it configured this way).

Anyone here have experience with them? Your help is much appreciated.

Yes there are, but Buds is the only one that has a POF .308 in-stock right now, and they have it for $2250. Rainier Arms has one for $2700, but I have never gone through them. Are they legit?

Table Rock and Quentin Defense are 2 good middleman FFLs that a lot of Calgunners have used... With a lot of CA dealers doing transfers on single shot exempt pistols, there really isn't a reason to use a middleman FFL, if the selling FFL will ship a non-roster gun to CA....and semi-auto rifles can be shipped as "receiver" only (for the most part...YMMV) or installed with a bullet button to avoid the AW problem....
