    Walmart Ammo bump..

As of 2/22/12 the American Eagle .223 20 round boxes are now $6.97, up a whole dollar! At the Walmart in AC for that matter.

Just wanted to give people a FYI.

I haven't seen that ammo at WalMart since before probably December. In fact, I had to buy PMC because I got a few boxes for my father for Xmas.

My local WalMarts have been low on ammo in general since before Xmas as well. My local Big5 shops have also been low on ammo the past few weeks or so... It's getting annoying.

I noticed certain walmarts charge a dollar more for certain ammo.

Meh, they've priced themselves out of contention for me. By the time I factor in travel/gas plus taxes, it's definitely cheaper to purchase online.

Has anyone seen if Walmart carries 7.62x39 Tula in the 124gr HP variety?

I bought all of Murrieta's wal mart american eagle .223 on the 21st..every time I go there I check and they're always out, so that night I saw they were stocked up so I purchased all 30 for 5.97/case with 10% discount

Just another reason I am glad I am starting to reload. My 55gr FMJ BT .223 reloads are costing me about $.175 per round (half of what the AE .223 costs before tax), will be even cheaper when I start buying powder in bulk.

I'd say this is the first swallow of the Spring that is the next Obama Gun and Ammo buying frenzy.

In 9 months you'll be thanking the Lord on your knees for the chance to buy 5.56 at any price at all. We'll fire up that Walmart Ammo thread again and make daily reports of ammo sightings at Walmarts. "There were 200 rounds of .45 ACP left on the shelf but the guy in front of me got them all. When I asked him if I could buy just one box he laughed at me."

                            Bad times a coming.

Gas prices over $4 a gallon, food prices skyrocketing, unemployment at the highest it has ever been, well at least for those who can still claim it, the rest have run out of benefits and don't get any more money so they do not get counted anymore.Ammo prices raising daily, seems as though this socialism is not working, just like it hasn't in any other country that tried it.But hey who am I,just another dumb non tree hugging conservtive American looking at the obvious with rational though. Real question is when are we going to do something about it or continue to just sit back and be lazy and let someone else do what they want and just ***** about what is going on?
