    Cell phone picture taking

    Hey guys, didn't know where to start this thread. Mods please move to the appropriate location if this isn't it. Maybe a sticky in the private firearms for sale.
    A friend of mine sent me this you tube link. Since our kids are way past the age of being targeted, I instantly thought about those that post pictures of firearms for sale (pictures taken with smart phones).
    Your home could be targeted for a break in if the perp likes what he sees.
    TURN OFF YOUR GPS FUNCTION BEGORE TAKING PICTURES!

    No, I don't care if you're reporting the news, that is not a statement that should be made.

    Regardless of the metadata in pictures, there is a simple solution for this...

    Stop publicly posting **** online. Even if you don't have the GPS tags, people post so much information about themselves the GPS tags aren't even necessary.

        Thanks for this info. I had no idea the GPS info was included in the EXIF data. Yikes.

          yeah I turned my camera GPS location off. A buddy of mine told me about this a while back
