    Hunting Question

I have carried a sidearm on many hunting trips.... Rifles with hunting optics (4x or 3-9) work just fine on critters at distance.

I have always preferred the option of the Hand Gun when approached by folks and critters in the field. For people, you can still be polite while you verify who it is you are speaking with... not to mention friendly bears coming over to see why the gut pile smells so good....

I have read up on the 460 Rowland and now see a Glock 21 conversion kit.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with this caliber?

my other concern is my hearing.... shooting the 40 cal outdoors without hearing protection is fine... would this be too loud???

If you carry a handgun while hunting, what is it and why???

    thankshttp://shop.460rowland.com/conversio...conversion_kit
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Might want to ask the mods to move your thread into the Hunting forum.

Here is mine - a Kimber Eclipse Custom II in 10mm. She's pretty but doesn't mind getting dirty.

WTB: French & Finnish firearms. WTS: raw honey, tumbled .45 ACP brass, stupid cat.
