MSA Supreme Pro X (nrr18) vs Pro Ears Predator(nrr26)????

Is there a question there? Assuming you are trying to decide between the two then in my opinion a NRR of 18db isn't enough sound pressure reduction for use at a range - especially indoor ranges. I own the Pro Ears Predator Gold for the 26db sound pressure reduction, the well designed electronics, and compact rifle stock friendly size. The form factor just barely leaves enough room for a good cheek weld but they work fine for me. The Pro Tac SC (NRR25) is supposed to have a bit more stock clearance. What you're paying for is not only the high sound pressure level reduction but also sophisticated electronics that act very quickly and clearly pass through safe sound levels. With the Pro Ears any sound that is that is too loud is still passed through but at a reduced and safe volume level so that you can clearly hear range instructions even with shooting going on in the background. With cheap electronic muffs when the electronics detect a loud noise they simply block all sounds.
