    Alternative to PayPal

    Hey guys,

I just stumbled across this site: http://www.paygun.com/. Click on the Sign Up link and it will take you to another site and you can look them over.

After reading a little more, it is a Canadian company, but also works in the US. It is called AlertPay.

I found the link off of GunsAmerica, which brings me to another interesting gun being offered for a low price: http://www.gunsamerica.com/Classifie...976990960.aspx

I've never used them and I don't work for them, just thought it was interesting pro-gun payment option.

I've heard of bid pay before, but I just create a new paypal account if I need to pay for something and use a credit card.

Certified Checks are not as safe as people assume they are.

We were shocked to learn that not only are there a lot of forged certified checks, but also that a genuine certified check can, surprisingly, be revoked.

Some of the forgeries are so good that your bank will accept them, credit you the money, you hand over the goods and then discover a week or so later that the money is no longer in your account because the "originating" bank says its a forgery and won't honor it.

                    Use USPS Postal Money Orders.

Take it to the Post Office. They'll verify that it is genuine while you wait, then cash it for you on the spot. At least the larger Post Office branches will. The smaller branches don't always have enough cash on hand to cash large money orders.

USPS MOs are my preferred m.o.

Gearpay.com - Their credo is support of the 2nd Amendment and all shooting sports. They have been discussing adding credit card access for several months. Not sure of the hang up but I suspect they'll get it soon. I like in their rules for membership it says:

                        (2) GearPay.com users are NOT allowed to use their GearPay.com account in support of Anti-Gun, Anti-Hunting or Anti-Military legislation, activities or persons/organizations that support such causes.

                          PayGun = AlertPay.

Fees are a bit steep along with little protection from chargebacks.

Also the company is based in Canada, no US laws protecting your money.

Put my in the minority, but I love PayPal. Their money market account pays the best interest rate in the nation - and no minimum balance or withdrawal limitations. Throw in 1.5% back on purcahses made with a PayPal debit card and I think its one of the best deals going.

you can love pay pal, but when it comes down to it, it is owned by ebay and are anti-firearm.

They will freeze your account if you use it for firearm related sales. Bidpay is very good, and I'm going to give pay gun a shot when i sell on GA.
