    Shotgun modifications

If I have an old shotgun, that was "modified" to the borderline of what was legal ten years ago, would it be legal now?

Depends if it had any kids while it was here illegally.

If your question is "Have the laws changed on the length of shotgun barrels or overall length in the last 10 years?" then the answer is no.

If such modifications were, in fact, within the law then they remain so.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Don't ask "Do I have something illegal?" Questions.

For a shotgun you might ask, "How short can the barrel be?" or "How much of the buttstock can be removed?"

Just ask a question, why would you want to possibly incriminate yourself?

Okay, those would be my questions then.

Barrel can be as short as 18" while overall length must be at least 26"

Buttstock can be removed as long as you are still at least the minimum overall length

Thank you Stix, That is what I was curious about. I have a single shot Kmart 20 gauge, that a field worker dropped in the mud, then fired. Blew about four inches of barrel clean open. So I decided to modify,
