    Temecula/Menifee Ranges/BLM?

A google search for gun range returns really only Rainbow Range for my local area. (Temecula Valley Gun Club appears to be Skeet only.) The last two times I went with a member to the Rainbow Range, they were full, and had a waiting list hundreds long (luckily I am #75-100 on the list?). However if I had a membership, I would never let my membership expire either.

Raahauge's Shooting Enterprises was GREAT, friendly, and fun to this non-member, however it is a longer trek that I wish to endure once to a few times every month since I live in Menifee, and work in Temecula.

I recently went on a rampage and purchased the family 5 firearms last year (thanks "Obama, the gun salesman of the decade") and just received my Dillon XL 650 reloading press, but have no place to shoot locally, or test my pressed-loads.

Are there any BLM lands around, or a range not listed that I am (/or google is) unaware of? (I got an e-mail with a BLM GPS grid in Lake Elsinore, but I don't want to get arrested, or anything confiscated if the grid/info is wrong.)

(Anyone wish to make a $30/few hours, and let me, my lady, and son hollow out one of their hills? I'll bring targets. )

I have come across a few threads asking the same question, however they are at least a year old.

    Please advise.

Check out Bee Canyon. Its outside of Hemet on the way to Idywyld. Its not BLM but you can shoot there during non dry months. Me and buddies go there a lot and so do a few members from here. I might be going up there tomorrow, so if you were interested send me a pm and I will let you know.

There is a Pala reservation private range with similar requirements as Rainbow. Check out http://ncsapala.com/. The range is about 10 miles further than Rainbow - you take Pechanga Pkwy all the way to Pala and you are pretty much there.

The problem is that you can shoot only on Mondays and Fridays (some weekends, but not many), and you pay $15 every time *in addition* to the annual membership. However, they do accept new members. I have been at Rainbow for a few years (before the waiting list) and have recently joined the Pala range. For sure not letting any of those expire.

BTW, Pala goes out to almost 1000 yards for rifle.

IVC, Pala sounds good, I should check them out! I'll have to find them.

          Thanks for the info.

Looks like it is too dry to shoot, so I asked PendulousMind to let me know the next time he is going... Mondays and Fridays are really limiting for me for the Pala thing.
