    Bored with a welder...bad combo

    i'm looking at making a couple silouette targets. 9mm & 22LR stuff. I'll keep the bigger stuff off of them.

    I will probably make a couple hanging targets. How thick is required to avoid punching holes? 3/8"? 1/4"

    Something like this.

    I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

    shooting with 9mm and 22lr you can go 3/8 and not worry about holes, if you plan to shoot this target with a rifle or anything over 1500 fps consider using ar500 or similar armor plate for the gong.

      For rimfire and handguns, I shoot 1/4" all day long and Tuesday too. Not going through. The 7.62x25 and .17hmr dimple it very slightly. No centrefire rifles or magnums.

      You can see the plug where my dipwad buddy shot it with my SKS ... idiot
