Has anyone seen any other rimfire cal upper than a 22lr. Particularly would like to find a 22WMR or 17HMR but I havent seen on on the net or in any shops before.

Haven't seen it, but Midway has an Olympic upper that is supposed to do both .22 and .17.
Their 2008 retail catalog says$443 for .17 or .22, $515 for both.2217 Partner The Partner gets you more use from your AR-15. Just swap the top end from your AR-15 with the Partner top end and you can now shoot .22 LR and/or .17 MK2 ammunition. This system is a specialized top end assembly with easy to insert sleeves, .22 Long Rifl e bolt adapter assembly and a magazine insert. No special tools are required to install or use the Partner system.
