    my 1st impressions

well i went to angeles shooting park today for first time and also was first time shooting steel.. firearms i had with me were a daniel defense m4v7 5.56, remington 700 in 300 winmag, mossberg 600at 12 gage and a glock 19 9mm..my impressions were this is a great range with nice funny people who work there and like to joke around, one of the range masters said that the steel would shoot back and 5 mins later i showed him a cut on my hand from the day before and said hey i got shot by the steel and we both laughed it off..the first time i hit steel with my ar i couldn't even here it cause there were a lot of people shooting but i new i hit it cause there was no dirt being kicked up soon after missing a lot of shots at steel i engaged my paper target at 25 yards standing with the ar 15 did pretty well for my first time shooting an ar 15 ever..im still a novice in long range precision shooting so i missed all 3 shots with the 300win mag at like 300 yards lol not even that far either for that caliber, i did pretty well with my g19 hitting steel at 35 and 50 meters with about 50 percent hits out of 100 rounds..and with my shotguns i only had birdshot so i shot at clay's that i laid on the ground at 25 and 15 yards, all in all it was a great day, 1 hour drive for me btw lucky no traffic but was worth it to shoot my stress away.will be going back soon.

Angeles is great during the week, midday. Weekends can get a little crazy. Glad you had a good time instead of the oft heard "The ROs screamed at me!" song.

yes im looking to get more trigger time with my rifles but burro canyon is closer so i might spend more time there to save money on gas...i really loved the pistol range at angeles though that was the best part of my day.
