Where to go shoot with friends for free?

Hey guys...so I'm getting my new ar15 next week.. Darn this 10 day wait!
I wanna know where do you guys go shoot? I don't mean like at Angeles or any other place...that has "rules". I was thinking of maybe a desert or any other place where we can just go and shoot. Im in Los Angeles... I also would like a place that can be accessed by a sall car... Please and thanks!!

If you are thinking BLM areas... that don't charge a fee... well then use the search button and read up and then do some Scooby Doo and the Gang Searching for the Honey Spot.

And don't forget to clean up when you are done.

Generally there a no "free" places in LA county. Even the National Forest doesn't allow shooting of a rifles while hunting, its shotguns only and they don't allow target shooting unless your at a sanctioned place like Angeles. So you'll need to leave the county and found BLM land in a more friendly county. Grats on your new AR15.

Nothing is really "free" you'll still have to factor in gas money getting there. In your case that will probably be 5x the amount of the range cost.

I don't mind rules as long as I can video tape myself hip shooting and bumpfiring to upload to youtube. Don't forget to look back and nod at the camera before you start shooting. Riveting stuff.

if you go out to blm make sure you clean up after your done shooting

Easier to just go along with the rules........ Go to the range and follow the rules.
