It's only playing in my area on digital channels, I'll check for future dates. I did setup an email reminder for "Guns and Mothers" for 2/24Comment

Rember the slogan "God created Man, but Sam Colt made them equal".
Well, I think that saying is more universal and applicable to more than just the Colt.
"Firearms makes every man equal"
P.S. Look at my avatar. These poor smucks turned in their guns when their government asked them too.I'm Rick James...Be-otch!!!!Comment

They were fully aware that those rifles were going to a black group, and had no issues with it whatsoever. They played an integral part in the armed resistance vs the Klan.
I will vote for a donkey-sex maniac if he's pro-gun.

The situation is more complicated than "NRA=racist" or not. When I lived in MO, I can tell you the NRA members I knew were indeed very much the good-ole-boy racist redneck variety. It was actually a bit shocking for someone like me, born and raised in CA, to hear people use the N-word so openly and clearly not in jest. If someone were to judge the NRA from my experience there, you might conclude that the NRA, while not explicitly racist, was dominated by racists. At least they had enough sense to clam up a bit when in the presence of outsiders. Though it wasn't much consolation for me, knowing their true feelings. As a result, I steered clear of the organization while I lived there.
Furthermore, at the time, the subject of the show, Rob Williams, was most likely seen as very much a threat from white America at the time, across the board. Had the NRA been as politically oriented back then, I suspect it would have been extremely wary of taking his side. And his exile to Cuba and later China, would probably not have put him in very high esteem among the typically conservative pro-gun faction.
These days, it's much easier to gather around the cause without the racial element clouding our reputation. Thank goodness.LIVE FREE AND DIE ANYWAYComment

It’s no secret that early erosion of an individual’s right to carry was another incarnation of the Jim Crow laws. The erosion eventually spread to all.
shecky, I know all to well about what you describe. I’m a native of Kali that has lived in NC and MO (as well as a few other states). T’was a rude awakening! I’m glad to be back in Kali, regardless of the hardships imposed by the liberal left.45 Saves Lives / 1911 HeathenComment
