    What should I do?

I'm stuck between purchasing a new 1911 or sending my 1911 to a custom shop for work (Heirloom Precision in AZ.) If you had only one choice..which would it be?

I'm on the fence with respect to answering your question, but am interested to see what others say. A little more info on what you've got & want wouldn't hurt either.

*Edit* I should add...The best feeling gun I've fired was one of the less expensive Springfield 1911's that had a trigger job (his words). Sorry I don't know more specifics, but it was a guy I met at the range who let me fire it. I've wanted one like it ever since. Granted I've not shot many 1911's, that one impressed me greatly.

If you've got a chance (and the change) to do a Heirloom Precision piece, go for it. That's a generational treasure there. Something to hand down to kids and grandkids. My opinion and worth what you paid for it.

If you like your current 1911 then send it to HP and wait.

Heirloom Precision? What could they possibly do to a 1911 for the ridiculous amount that they charge? You must have lots of Greens with nothing to spend em on.
