Midway Tactical pistol case

So I purchased this case from midway to use as a range bag as I only have 1 handgun I felt this was perfect for me which it is BUT the zippers aren't metal. So I know the law states to travel with the case locked. Can I lock the 2 zipper zip cords together? I really don't have any extra cash to buy another bag just yet. The only thing I was thinking to do was travel with the gun in its case locked and when I get to the range put it into the bag. Anybody have any other ideas on what I can do?

There is no requirement that stipulates Metal zippers, etc.

Just put a lock through the zipper holes so they cant be opened.

Okay sounds good I wasn't sure if that would work. It has string zipper pulls can I run a lock thru those and be compliant?

The sale is actually going on for the month of February. I ordered mine at full price. Which was $20 but that's still a good price for it.

If your primary means of transportation is a car, and your car has a trunk separate from the passenger compartment that is not accessible from the passenger compartment. Just leave the gun w/ range bag inside your trunk when you are transporting around town. That is considered a lock container.

Now, if you are going to actually carry that bag around town, or have it in the passenger compartment of your vehicle, I would put a lock in between the two zippers (not the cord).

Btw, I got the same bag as you. Its a nifty bag.

If you can't find a lock, I took some of those tiny key ring things like from some cheap key ring fobs ( I actually went to a local jewelry supply and got 10/$1), and run it through the zippers alongside the cords.

Go to a luggage store. The locks are usually small enoough for what you are trying to do...

Home Depot sells very small padlocks, small enough for zippers, heck the wife locks my zipper every time I go out!
