My close personal friend, the famous magician David Copperfield, was asking me a hypothetical question the other day. He said, "Hey Chris, so if I have legally owned pre-2000 30 round Thermold AR magazines that are a little worn AND I'd really like to try out those fancy new P-Mags all the cool kids are talking about, would it be legal to find, somewhere, P-Mag repair kits. Purchase the same number of said kits to match the number of old and busted Thermold magazines. Then "repair" my Thermolds into nifty keen P-Mags.
I'd end up with the same number of hi-cap magazines, just different manufacturer. Then I'd dispose of the old and busted Thermolds, or maybe cut the bodies and keep them around for proof of previous ownership."
"What do you think Chris?"
"Gosh David Copperfield, that would be a great trick! I'm just not the right person to ask about legalities... but I know WHERE to ask."
I think famous magician David Copperfield is on solid legal ground here, but I'd hate to give him bad advice.
EDIT: Oops. This was supposed to go into "General" Sorry 'bout that.
