Vacation, help me find gunshops (CA)

Next month or March I will be taking some time off work and going on a much overdue road trip/vacation. It's not final, but I should be heading along the 101 and 1 from VC (home) to about as far north as the San Francisco/San Jose area.

I make it a habit of always trying to find and visit new gunshops. I'm familiar with everything up to the Solvang and Buellton area, but past that all I have to go by is Google. Which isn't saying much as I only get a name, address and phone, maybe a website if I'm lucky and some half-*****ed reviews.

So, I'm looking for some help from you Central Coast/lower Nor Cal guys... If you know of a good gunshop I should visit while on vacation in or near the following cities, please let me know about it.

    Solvang
    Buellton
    Cambria
    Carmel
    Monterey
    Gilroy
    Santa Cruz
    San Francisco
    San Jose
+ anywhere else along the 101 or 1 highway between Solvang and SF/SJ area.

// EDIT: If you know of a gun show in Feb or March in a city/area I listed above, please tell me. //

    Thanks!

Well, if you get to the San Jose area, definitely go a little farther past up to Milpitas to check out Valkyrie Arms especially if you have out of roster gun in mind for SSE.

In additional to Valkyrie, I would hit up Bay Area Gun Vault in Mountain View.

Valkyrie is great if you want to walk in...see a handful of mostly CA legal guns in the case and then ORDER somthing for SSE. If you are looking for a place to browse inventory and window shop they would be VERY low on my list.

Hell...I would even go to San Jose Gun Exchage to window shop the old rifles before I would go down to Valkyrie to look at mostly empty cases and walls.

Bay Area Gun Vault would be high on my list if I was just wanting a shop with a good selection and things to actually touch and play with.

Thanks for the input. This is why I'm asking, don't want to waste time with empty shops or people who don't know how to treat their customers.

            Anyone else? Keep it coming...

Reed's in Santa Clara has a good inventory, Sportsmen Supply in Campbell/San Jose also has a decent inventory.
