    SVSC RANGE ALERT

I just received the following e-mail from my club. Has anyone here ever had an encounter like this? I have not been able to make it to the range all year due to work and health issues and I next week I had planned to go shooting. If you go to our range during the week you typically are alone. Each of us has the gate lock combination to gain access. If this unbalanced individual were able to gain access to a firearm and the ammunition I was carrying he could cause injury and death to others. I am thinking it might be prudent to carry mace when returning to my vehicle.

Sounds like a good reason for not keeping your guns cased.

Mmmm..maybe. Maybe not. But you do have to wonder at the mental stability of a person that is willing to confront another person in such a manner when you HAVE to know that the other person has firearms readily available.

I *hate* dealing with crazy. You can't communicate rationally with it.

I have a perfect Burning Man attendance record: zero.

You do know there are more guns in the country than there are in the city.
Everyone and their mums is packin' round here!
      Like who?
      Farmers.
      Who else?
      Farmers' mums.

That's why I stopped debating with rabid left wingers long ago

Yeah exactly. The last sentence read to me like:

"There is a guy out there with a big dog who might want to kill you. In that case, keep your guns locked and secured."

"America is not at war. The Marine Corps is at war; America is at the mall."

Not a single person in the crowd is rational or reachable because the parade's for gay folks and it's in SF.

Guaranteed. He's probably squatting on some land in the woods nearby and is pissed that he has to hear the range on a daily basis.

I'll be there tomorrow with another Calgunner who is a member of the club. I'll let you know if we encounter him.

                  Here's their web site.

I believe you need someone to sponsor you and you must attend a few meetings.

thanks for the warning C123K loadmaster. i go there occasionally. i will warn my friend who is the member i go with. we do have more than our fair share of nutjobs in the county.

also there isnt gunfire day and night. hours are regulated and you cant even shoot during the surrounding businesses lunch hour.
