Not sure how much I take in when shooting. I can tell you I probably need to worry more about all the lead weights I use to put on my fishing line with my teeth when I was growing up. We are exposed to more things in a day than I care to think about that are probably not good for us but it is everywhere. I care don't get me wrong but I have many more things in my life that are just as dangerous but I still do them everyday.
I work in surgery and I am exposed to radiation, chemo drugs, MRSA, C-diff, HIV, HPV, we have contact precautions, airborne precautions. I have to watch out for needle sticks, bodily fluid spashes. I have to be aware of cautery in use, lasers in use, where the surgeon put the scapel. The list goes on and that does not include the drive to and from work which is also very dangerous.
I was in the Marines for a little over 4 years also. I think I will take my chances at the range. I am more concerned about the lead coming my way from 1-2 lanes over vs the lead I breath when I am at the range.
