Does anyone here shoot at iron sights in O'side for the USPSA or IDPA matches?

Im slowly trying to get into the sport of competition shooting and i figured it would be a good place to start. Does anyone shoot at ironsights in oceanside for those type of matches? Im not really interested in the IDPA, but im open for anything to start small. I just want to shoot pistol i guess its called the production class?

Do i need to join USPSA to shoot there for that type competition? Or is it open to the public?

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Do the Steelpate Match at Rainbow in Fallbrook

2nd Saturday every month. It's only $10. Lots of fun and a great place to start.

USPSA is cumbersome and expensive. IDPA has gotten expensive as well, and has some unrealistic rules.

Look for matches listed at 'Action Pistol' such as those at West End in Lytle Creek.

Check http://www.oceansidepistol.com/ - they run the matches at Iron Sights.
They do Thursday night matches as well and you don't need to be a member of IDPA or USPSA to shoot, although it helps to go through the 2 rulebooks.
