    Gun show questions

I haven't been to a gun show in California before, just Arizona about a decade ago. I'm looking to buy a new 1911 and I'm wondering if it's worth waiting till this weekend and trying the gun show at the Cow Palace, or just getting it from a gun store. I looked up the price and it was close to what I saw on Gunbroker.com and not bad when I surfed around on gun genie. I'm looking at new guns only (springfiled loaded, ruger sr1911, tarus 1911 or remington enhanced). Some are off list, but I guess the store is using the Single Shot exemption.

My second question is when you buy at a gun show in our great state, do you get it right away, or is there still a 10 day penalty box?

You do not get it right away unless it is a C&R rifle/shotgun from a private party. I have found that here the prices are higher than the stores. In fact some stores raise the price by $50 over what they charge in their stores when at the show.

    Your results may be different.
