    Online Seller @$$#0!*$

Of course we firearms enthusiasts here in the PRKali often have to endure the idiocy of online out of state idiots who won't ship to our sinking socialistic state, particularly aggravating in the case of C&R items. But every once in a while one comes across a truly remarkable brain dead idiot. Here is the case in point:

Stevens Model 620 12 Ga Pump

Note the following passages in the sales description (the arm in question was last manufactured in 1953):

"Weapon must be sent to an FFL holder only,no C&R's will be accepted."

Bad enough, but here's the topper:

"No sales to California, Massachusetts or outside the Continental US."

Okay, just the typical ignorant BS? Oh, no, now note the residence of the seller: Location BEAUMONT, CA 92223.

This state is doomed. There was an old saying in Baja California before the big highway, "Bad roads make good people." I think the same in reverse may be said about the weather. Crowded out by idiot slackers. Sigh.
"Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." ~ C. California is doomed, you're right. You (not you personally) get what you vote for though.

Did you try to message him and inform him that he can legally sell to another CA resident?

looks like the add has been updated.

Weapon must be sent to an FFL holder or C&R's will be accepted. Long guns or shotguns ship priority mail or UPS ground insured. No sales to Massachusetts or outside the Continental US.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

                  Okay, Had Some Effect ...

Yes, the seller did revise his description. Probably because I sent him the following last night (quite tame given my real feelings in the matter):

"Hi! Can you help me with the following questions? Thanks!

                  1. The Stevens 620 shotgun was last manufactured in 1953, yet you won't accept a C&R FFL to purchase this item. Why is this?

                  2. You state you won't ship to California, yet you yourself reside in California. Why is this?

                  Thank you for your assistance!"

This apparently motivated him to accept a C&R and allow shipment to Cali. Not that I'm that interested in this particular arm, it's hacked at both ends and so the start price is above what I believe it's worth to me. The thing is that it's just another example of eff California, but really aggravating in this instance that it's coming from a Californian! (Well, a resident maybe, not a true Californian.) Should we really have to address these cases individually, one by one, ad infinitum, oh, won't you reconsider and sell it to me, pretty please, kissy, kissy? If/when I come to sell one or more of my C&Rs on GB, I think I may stipulate that I won't sell to anyone OUTSIDE of California. How 'bout that?
