I had placed an order for a set of KAC Micro BUIS through their website along with some QD swivel mounts yesterday.
I just got an email this morning thanking me for my order but that it had been cancelled since I lived in California. There was a paragraph in the email about one of their rail system being banned, which I knew, and because of that they refused to do business in California.
I understand where they are coming from and agree that banning their rail as part of the AW ban list is a miscarriage of legislation.
I am pretty disappointed that they would cut off their nose to spite their face when it comes to selling anything to Californians. I guess I will just get a set of Troy's instead.
I had been on the fence about ordering a SR15E3 upper from one of our vendors but I think I will look at another manufacturer for a light weight upper instead in the future.
Just an FYI to everyone, KAC won't sell you anything directly no matter how harmless it may be. Not sure what their policy is on warranty work but better safe than sorry. I'll hold off on buying any KAC gear from third parties too. Nothing against KAC as I think their gear is awesome but I have to protect myself as a consumer too.
