    Evil features/Hi-cap mags:Confused

OK, so what I read seems contradictory. I see some publications that say ALL "hi-cap" mags over 10 rounds in Ca are illegal after a certain period in time. Period.
Then I see if your weapon doesn't have any evil features, hi-caps are OK.

My specific question regards a Mini-30 I'm looking at from out of state. It comes with 3 20 round mags. This gun has no evil features that I'm aware of.
Is this good to go here or do I have to forego the 20 rounders?
    TIA

A somewhat simpler presentation is in the magazine link in my .sig, below.

Short answer: unless you are LEO, it's illegal for you to import 10+ mags.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

You had to own the hi-caps in CA before the 2000 cut off date. A reliable factory 10 round mag is better than most junk aftermarket hi-caps. AFAIK Bill Ruger didn't allow any factory hi-caps to be sold to the public. Learn to hit what you are aiming at every time & how to do speedy tactical reloads. An extra 10 rounds that may not feed properly is not worth the legal trouble. Make sure that the mini 30 doesn't have anything "bad" added on like a flash hider or folding stock.

Good advice, thanks. I'm clear now on mags vs evil feature bans. 10 rounds are pleanty, but thr 5er that comes with the CA model will suffice for me as well.
