    whats better?

    Im just curious plus they both seem good barrels but the first ine sound a little better.

    4150 chromemoloy vanadium
    70 rockwell case hardend heat treated 5R poloygonal

    or

    cold hammer forged 41V45 steel alloy treated with NiCorr

      Different ways of describing the exact same steel. 41v45 is a proper way of writing it and the first sounds better. 70 rockwell c is hard, and both are heat treated. When people say something is carburized, nitrided, etc then there is no need to say it is heat treated except for when marketing needs to make it sound better. I don't know about 5r polyagonal at all. The second is nitrocarburized and the first is carburized (another way of saying case hardened). I personally would lean to the nicorr, but you'd probably never notice a difference between those barrels. They might have exactly the same finish with different ways of describing them and applied by different people.
