Glock: The Rise of America's Gun

As I pick up my first gun, the Glock 17 this week, I'm also excited to see that a new book will be out too! Can't wait to download it to my Kindle!

Glock: The Rise of America's Gun

Anyone going to pick up a copy?

just be aware that the author of this book, Paul M Barrett is very anti. Here's an earlier example of his work for an article in Businesweek:

There is a follow up article in this week's Businessweek which is an excerpt from this book which also has a very anti slant. He writes something along the lines of "it's a shame that even in light of the Tucson massacre that the only gun related bill to pass the house is one that would broaden gun carry rights".... (not a direct quote, just recalling what I read from memory).

ah, found it. here is this week's article

Ah, thanks for the heads up on the author's anti-gun stance. Much appreciated!

Great, reliable, awesome gun. But it's Austrian not American, and there are so many types of firearms out there, i don't understand limiting yourself to the same brand over and over again. Spread the love.

I just found a thread on another forum that the author engages in. Needless to say some of the members call him out in his RKBA stance. Interesting.

You can never have enough Glocks. Funny how "America's gun" is actually Austrian, although the S&W M&P series pistols are also a popular contender with LE and civilian shooters.
