Went to Personal defense Weapons in El Dorado Hills. Small shop...but clean - nice (albeit limited) selection. Very helpful staff. The carry Franklin Armory products and will have updated info/price lists when they get back from the SHOT show in about 3 weeks.
Also went to STS Guns - the new shop in Folsom. They had multiple signs in the window...ome said they were closed several days this week (including today). Another one said they would be open today at 2:00 p.m. Hard to see a lot through the window. Another sign said they were going to be closed so they could go pick up new inventory. The impression I got is that they are not quite ready to walk and chew gum at the same time. Hopefully that will get better with time.
Also dropped by Ammo Depot in Rancho Cordova. Small shop...they had some decent deals on once reloaded .45 ACP and .40 S&W. Nothing got me really excited. I've seen better deals here on CalGuns but worth a look if you decide you need some ammo and don't want to wait for a shipment.
Also want to shout out for the guys at Action Guns in Rancho Cordova. Totally helpful staff, very black rifle friendly, will go the extra mile to help with accessories and information.
