    Short barrelled AR with...

    ...really annoying muzzle brake & yards of rails = $1200

    Optics and tacticool accessories = $1000

    LOTTSA ammo = LOTTSA $$$

    Taking out the carrier string while patterning the WHOLE paper @7 yards...

                  Seriously though, many new AR fellows have no clue that they need a barrel of 16in or longer. Lots of unknowing felons out there.

                                      If it had a barrel of at least 16 inches, then it was not a short barrelled anything.

                                      If the bareel was less than 16 inches, then they indeed had a "Short Barrelled" rifle and hopefully also had the required paperwork and permits needed in this state.
