    Plate carrier ?'s and sizing

Alright guys I am going to be buying a plate carrier soon and although i have been googling the **** out of them. I figured I would start a thread about them as well. First of all how do you size your plates not being LE or Mil I would be doing it on my own. A lot of the plate carriers I have been looking at are sized per the plate size and type that you will be running so any help on figuring the sizing out would be greatly appreciated.

Also please post up pics of your personal setups explaining what you have on it and why also any comments or opinions on things that you have changed/added/removed after using it whether it be for training or real world situations.

The proper size plate should fit (plate height) exactly between your sternum notch and the top of your belly button. The width I believe is proportional to the height of the plate so it isn't as important.

Make sure you wear the plates properly. Some plates can be run standalone, meaning just inserted into the plate carrier. Others are in-conjunction plates designed to be worn with a IIIa soft armor panel between you and the plate. That's the second most common mistake I see made with PCs, the first being wearing them too loose or not fitting them properly.

You can search banshee plate carriers. Optic planet or amazon. Gamma III plates from Ebay. There you go for about $300 dollar range all together.
