    Was this a bad deal?

I just ordered my TM 10/22 80% receiver. So I'm going to attempt to build a CA Legal Charger style pistol. I was browsing GB and found THIS I thought it was a decent deal for the basic stuff to start.

Just remember you won't be really saving any money but you will have somthing that you built. Just like 80% ar lowers. You will spend more on just the 80% lower then a completed one but to me it's worth it so it's off the books =]

Indeed! I understand that completely. I'm pretty mechanical and love to build my own (insert noun here). Off the book's is the best part!!! I know building most thing's on your own usually cost more, but it's the self satisfaction of knowing "I made that"

Make's it worth it to me. Next project is floating nightstand's for my Bedroom.

Should I mill my receiver before ordering the barrel? I assume constructive possession applies to rimfire as well? Thanks for input

Don't forget the AW laws for pistols apply to rimfire as well, not like rifles where rimfire is exempt. You'll need a mag lock for that outside the grip magwell.

I'm working on a solution for that. I have a couple prototype's in the work's. I really don't want to tap into the trigger assembly.

Problem is that the receiver would be a rifle. He wants a pistol. 80% is the easiest way to go.
