    Bursting Burro

I went to Burro Canyon today. It was so packed their was a wait. I split and will go next week when most people are back to work. Ive never seen it so busy, although I must admit I have not been there in a while. It was good to see the Calguns banner hanging from the porch railing.

I was wondering what a normal day is like there now. When I used to go on weekdays, maybe five people had the whole 200 yd. range to themselves.

Does it ever get like that anymore? I guess Ill find out next week. I would have stayed if I didnt have my wife with me. I felt it was a little to busy for a newer shooter and dont think she would have been as relaxed as I would like her to be.

I went up there the Monday after Christmas and it was crowded as heck too. I also left. I work nights and it was an after thought to hit the range after having breakfast with a friend of mine from out of town. I went this past Wed. after getting off work and took my two sons and a friend of theirs. We got there around 9:45am and it was filling up fast. The kids had brought the shotguns and since all the private ranges were full we ended up on the public pistol range. There were about 4 tables still open, but everything under the shaded covering was taken. We had a fun time as usual. I hope the crowds start to thin out too!!!

Heh, good thing I didn't go today. I was planning on going today or even tomorrow, but I figured tomorrow would be worse.

I'll just wait until next week when a lot of people are back to school and work.

I was all fired up to go this week until I read a couple of threads on how crowded Burro was. I assume the other ranges are crowded too. I decided to hold off for a couple of weeks. I have a 1000 rounds and a new AK I want to try out. My trigger finger is getting itchy!!

Once the holidays die off and people go back to work it will be normal again
