    Handgun in motorhome question

I've got a question about having a handgun in a motorhome

If someone has one of the newer motorhomes with the huge rear bedroom
What the rules for driving / If the handgun is kept in the rear bedroom ??

I know once you are parked ( Campsite ) then it's your homesite

Unloaded in a locked container, until you stop to camp.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Because the rules regarding this can vary from state to state, the most hasssle free approach is to keep it unloaded in a locked container while operating the RV. If you intend to travel country-wide, it's to your real advantage to secure ccw credentials from NV, UT & FL which will give you reciprocal ccw rights in some 30+ states, (California being one of the ugly exceptions) . If you are in any state that honors your ccw permits, where your hardware is located in the RV is no longer a potential problem. You can secure all three permits by investing a day in a licensed NV instructor that is also certified for UT. The FL ccw permit can be applied for directly and only requires evidence of NRA or = training. IMO, if you are going to travel by vehicle these days, securing these permits is cost effective insurance.

Don't even get to the spot where the Canucks ask if you are carrying. At that point you are busted. The points of entry do have helpful signs before then that should be read, understood, and followed.
