BLM Shooting Area- Kern County

Hey guys I'd like to do a little target shooting tomorrow while I'm camping. We will be camping off of 20 mule team road, off of the 395. I wanted to confirm that as long as I am not on California City land, that this area would be ok.

20 mule team road is still within Cal City limits. I go riding in that same area. Cal city limits stop about 2 miles west of the 395. If your on the east side of the 395 you're good. Even if you are within Cal City limits i cant see that much of big deal being youre way out in the desert. Just be extremely careful and look out for OHV Riders.

according to the maps i found on geocommunicator.org, this area is BLM. Is this info incorrect?

I believe so. Most of the mojave desert is BLM
