    Military guns?

just because the military decides to adopt a good product doesn't make it "military item".

A lot of military procurement comes from proven products made by the commercial world.

For me it is a matter of being sick and tired of someone in DC, Sac or anywhere else thinking they know what is right and best for me and my family when all they ever seem to do is want money from me.

They (elected officials) have an endless need to dumb-down America to the lowest common denominator. Meaning, there are several souls walking the earth who are a walking example of natural selection. Yet our state and federal officials want to take away our rights to ensure the "stupid people" don't get hurt. Or in the case of nut jobs who go postal or serial rapists, murders etc, they wish to rehabilitate them. Instead of enforcing the laws that are already on the books and either lock them up FOREVER or remove them from the gene pool.

I grew up shooting guns as a kid as my grandfather was a USN vet and a game warden later on in life. My uncle was a A.F vet in Korea, my other uncle served on the SSN-571 and SSBN-634, my older cousin served in the USN and so did I. So I have been around the military and civilian/military grade weapons for quite a while.

To this end I have decided to get em' now as I feel, eventually they will no longer be attainable. If I already have them it will be a bitch for them to get them back from me. History has proven that when they have passed laws banning certain items there is almost always a Grandfather clause taking into account people who owned before the ban.

I guess, for me, what it boils down to is I have a serious issue with authority figures. Especially when I feel they are either morons or corrupt or both.

My final reason.......I love things that go BOOM!

Good point. The M24/M40 is a great example.
