The pros and cons of a rem. 03A3 action

Just bought a rifle with a 03A3 Remington action, I think it was reworked, it was smooth, looked almost new. What can you guys tell me about them. Why do guns that people make out of them sell for cheap? Are they good reliable actions?

I've had quite a lot of shooting experience with the 03A3/M1903 rifles. They have never failed to do what they were designed for....Every cycle, they have extracted and every time i've squeezed the trigger, it goes BOOM. I don't have any "cons" to say about it. Only praise. I have both 03A3 and M1903 rifles and I wouldn't trade them for anything. It's a fine piece of history.

The actions are fine, nothing wrong with them. They sell for cheap because it's a sporterized military surplus rifle, it's not in original, as issued condition anymore.

Two piece firing and striker can separate if the retaining collar breaks while shooting. Theoretically the cocking piece will come out the back of the bolt but I have never read of this happening.
