    Trouble finding a gun part

Ok, so I've got the twitch to upgrade-**** my Ruger 10/22 a little bit more and I am having trouble finding a particular part. I remember seeing the part a while back and it was used for one application but I want to use it for another. The particular item was a weaver rail adapter that clamps to one weaver rail and then cants a second weaver rail at a 45 degree angle offsetting the mounted optic away from the receiver. I believe it was originally made to give a European style scope mount and leaves the top of bolt action rifles clear to be hand loaded. I can't for the life of me find this little bugger and it's driving me nuts!

Anyone know who makes it, model name, where I can find it, etc?

My search-fu here and a couple other places turned up nothing, as well as google, midway, and Brownells.

    Something like this:

      Try Brownells. Here's the page:

Browse a HUGE selection of hunting rifles & shotguns, gun parts, gunsmithing tools, reloading equipment, ammo, and more! Brownells: Since 1939

In case the link doesn't work, Brownells part number is 100-003-301. It costs $24.95.

Those YHM and Doublestar ones are the parts I wanted. OUCH! ~$50 per set; I thought someone had purchased a pair for something like $20. Maybe I should just buy two cheap sets of rings, mill off the clamp, and weld them together and grind them into being concentric with each other. Then I can just mount it off my original scope....

That is the kind of thing I would do, but recently I have been doing less of that kind of thing and just buying stuff that I need. I have found that by the time you spend $20 or more on materials and add your time do modify them, you will be well over the $50 mark.

Unless I do it in my free time at work, while being paid, so I actually come out even but with the part I need.

I am trying to mount a second optttic on my rifle. I had a scope on it originally, but dropped it for the faster and funner red dot. I was starting to miss the cross hairs when I saw a guy's AR setup for three gun and he had one of those 4x trijicons for longer shots with a Dr Optic ofset at 45 degrees for rapid upclose shots where the crosshairs would be off POI. A simple roll over of the rifle put the Dr Optic straight up and in your normal field of view and the brass just got ejected a light higher than normal. I figured it would be nice to remount the scope and position the red dot to the left, lower, and a bit forward of center of the scope so the ejection port would be unobstructed but I could still take long shots and up close shots on rodents (what I mainly use this rifle for anymore) where using the scope causes dangerous ricochetts.
