CSI says 5.7 X 28 can't be found in USA!

I was watching CSI last night (I TIVO'd it) and they say I can't get 5.7 X 28 ammo. I checked Cheaper than Dirt, It looks like CSI didn't. They also say the FNPS90 is a beast and everyone was in a panic because 144 of them made it into America.
I usually don't mind the stupid-ness in these kind of shows but come on!
So if I buy a PS90 (in semi) and some ammo from Cheaper than Dirt are people going to report me. I hate it when TV lies to the public, it just turns people against us.

Standard AP 5.7mm ammo cannot be bought in stores. HP and soft point has always been available.

Also, since the full-auto version is new, civilian ownership is not gonna happen.

I am not that familiar with class 3 regulations
but
wouldnt it be possible for someone with a class 3 licenses to do a post ban dealer sample?
