    DelMar gun show

Was just wondering who all went to the gunshow in delmar over the weekend.
I went on Sunday and it was ok. Lots if vendors were selling rebuild kits for all different types of guns. Over all same old stuff. Pretty much just picked up ammo. What did you guys buy and how did you like the show.

I got a bunch of ak parts from the solar tactical booth. Those guys are always great to deal with and have a a lot of ak-builder stuff for sale.

Talked with the guys at the calguns booth. Saw a few friends, met some new ones. (you guys need some XXL shirts!)

I have mixed feelings about the Del Mar gunshow. The cost of parking + show entry = hazmat fee's, so I don't go expecting to get any bargains on my reloading stuff. I typically buy powder and primers just because I'm there and they are available. There are decent deals on things like gun bags, cleanings supplies, knick-knack's. I get tired of seeing the same (lame) vendors hawking old crap that never seems to sell, or tables full of cheap made in China scopes or bino's. For what they charge to get in, I don't really think its worth it, and I only go maybe once a year. But, it did give me a good chance to walk around all day in my new Calguns Foundation black T-shirt.

I helped out at the South Bay Rod and Gun club booth on Sunday morning. I usually just go for the powder and primers but I'm stocked up from a Calguns group buy. I always have a good time at the gun show theirs something about window shopping for guns, I just cant get enough of it.

"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

Picked up 1k of 9mm, range bag from the guy in the back for $20 and an ammo box for $5.

I thought it was a pretty good show. Seemed to me like there were a lot more guns for sale than when I was there earlier in the year. Had fun. Sunday morning was pretty dead.

Had a good time. Liked the under-the-bed safe the guy was selling. Great idea! But as others have said, if you're not getting in free, better deals can be had online for gear and mags.

I am having a hard time seeing the point of this statement. There were plenty of vendors selling hi quality gear...plenty of Magpul, Blackhawk, Tango Down, LaRue, Surefire and Aimpoints and Eotechs. (not to mention clones)

What exactly were you hoping\looking for? Now price wise, you could probably do better online but for me, it's always better to feel and item out before I buy something on the net sight unseen.

Regarding ammo...meh, pretty much the same price it's been the last year or so. Picked up 1k of Winchester 9mm 115gr for 179$ before sales tax. I usually get my ammo from Bullet_Man and while those are reloads, they have always shot great for me. The timing of this event (out of 9mm) and the fact that I had a free pass from my range, made this the show a temporary better deal.

LAX had some nice prices on .223 reloads. I think it was around $225 for 1k.

I always have a fun time at the shows regardless if I buy something or not. Its just fun to window shop around with nothing but gun related parts around you. For me the show is 80%crap I would never want, but I go hoping to find a nice piece here or there.

I spent a good amount of time at the solar tactical booth and picked up one of their new muzzle brakes. They were on sale for 40 compared to their online price of 70. Im really happy with this purchase (my friends who shoot next to me, not so much so). The thing works amazing!

Also picked up a new Voodoo rifle bag, 500 rds of .223, some .40 reloads

I was there sat morning. Was looking for reloading equipment mostly, Was also looking for a Eotech XR 308. Did not see any spectacular deals, nothing worth breaking the piggy bank.
Stopped by the CalGuns booth and picked up some patches, but I missed the T-shirt. . . .

Went saturday picked up 1k berry's bullets from Miwall for $75. I always go with a car load of friends so we split parking. Was trying to look for the one vendor that has all the reloading dies but he wasn't in the same spot and it was super crowded to keep looking.
