    Colt moving to FL

Kinda sad to hear Colt will be leaving its historic home, I guess. But that's life.

Maybe moving eventually. This just means they are expanding operations. It would be interesting to have a FL stamped colt lower versus a CT stamped one, time to start collecting...

Same here. That's what I read at 1911.com and one of the guys that works at Colt is on that forum.

About time: maybe with the extra capacity they can get off of their ***** ***** and get around to finally building more ***** 1911s.

Took me ages to track down the XSE I wanted; but I'm not bitter.

Gotta do something to stay alive. I've read Colt's in bad shape business wise. There was an interview in the last NRA magazine with the CEO of Colt and it looks like they are trying to come back strong in the retail market. Might come out with a plastic handgun. we'll see.

What would one do with two condos under water?

Took me 8 months to track down my XSE, how bout you?

Hopefully this new facility is for the better. They have been lagging it with their 1911 production for years now.

I would manufacture AR's in the new Florida plant and keep 1911 production in CT, but that's just me.
