Suggestions for 3rd gun on LTC

We are allowed up to three firearms to be listed on our LTC's. I currently have two that are carry suitable, a Glock 23 and a S&W 642. I have just enough time to order a third gun and get it out of jail before my interview (where I present the guns I intend to carry).

I am going back and forth on what to get. I've considered several but I'm not making any head way on making a decision. So if you'd like, tell me what you might pick in this situation: budget of around $500, nothing smaller than a 9mm or .38 special.

I'm not looking to have my mind made up for me, just curious as to what respectable gun owners would choose.

    Thanks!

I don't know what respectable means, but I really like my new CZ Rami.

        My three would be my m&p 9fs, m&p 9c, and a j frame snub.

Its situation specific, and I don't spend any amount of time where I would encounter larger predators than the two legged type.

If I spend a lot of time outdoors, camping or hiking where I could encounter larger beasts, I might ditch the m&p compact & put my k-frame .357 on there.

Try to tell us more about your situation.

            Between your 642 & G23, you're pretty much covered!

I agree. I've carried both. The 642 is great to drop in your pocket; the G23 is good when you want a full size gun.

If you want to add another one I'd make it on the smallish size (a compact 9mm/.380 or similar.)

Adding a gun isn't a problem with most agencies;usually just making an appointment and maybe qualifying with it. Don't rush your decision if you don't need to (although you can never have too many guns!)
