    Ares Armor Tactical Gear

Our website provides everything you need to know about our products and services.

Just wanted to get these guys a little more exposure and visibility. They're based out of Oceanside, California and everything I've seen from them is top notch, hand made product. Their customer service is on point and they have a lifetime warranty on almost everything. I've shot with them and they know their stuff.

I personally own the Combat XII Pack and the EFFIN-A compensator. Both are awesome. If anyone has any questions that they want an objective answer to, I'd be happy to answer it.

And no, I'm not part of the company nor am I paid by Ares for any reviews or anything.

They make a REALLY, REALLY good rifle sling.

Their lanyard doesn't seem to have a breakage point, which isn't good IMO. If I was in a position to utilize a lanyard, I'd prefer to have a lanyard that breaks easily over one that doesn't.

      +1.

I have their sling, and it's the best I've encountered.

IMO it is the best two point sling ever invented/made. Current production and materials are top notch.

Oh yeah, I forgot I have their sling too. Beats out the nearest competitor, Vickers, by a mile.

voiceofreason, can you link to their lanyard if you can find it? I know they carry a Troy and a TAG one, but I don't think they make their own.

They had a killer deal on a 2-pack EFFIN-A comps for black friday/cyber monday. I'm currently waiting for my upper to be returned from having the comp pinned onto my 14.5" barrel. My brother has the other one on a 10" AR pistol upper and says it can make anyone look like a pro during rapid fire.

                  no, it doesn't

material is slick and not sturdy like a Vickers sling

                  Blue Force Gear is better

Depends on what you're using it for. Different strokes and whatnot.

After running both slings on the same day, I noticed that the vickers has too much resistance while adjusting, doesn't flex/bend easily enough, and (the big one) the pull tab is too hard to grab under duress and/or while wearing gloves.

Everyone is going to have their own opinion though, and I'm sure both slings have a hoard of people willing to defend them to the death.

Edit: Also, slick means it slides over your gear and body more easily.

And considering they both cost about the same, but Ares has a life warranty, that's another selling point.

You are correct. It's a TAG one. I was referencing a memory of browsing their website a bit ago. I only remembered seeing a lanyard for sale one their website that I thought was theirs.

I prefer the Gemtech lanyard. 2 designed in 85# breakoff points.
