Can this gun make into Cali?

I figure according to the flowchart this Cobray double barrel pistol cannot come into California as it fires shotgun shells. Is that correct?

    Thanks

My guess is it would have to come in as an AOW if at all. The seller says they are willing to try and and get ahold of the CADOJ to find out, have you asked them?

      10-4 on that.

SBS unless it can be AOW'd (and then you need an NFA trust, it's not just a matter of slapping on a VFG and DROSing it as "Other")

For a $160 gun, it's not really worth it.

I did ask about Cali shipping and they said they would ship town ffl. I got the impression they weren't familiar with local laws. I'm sure any local ffl would refuse delivery.

So if I got an aow stamp this would be good even though it can fire a pistol cartridge? Would I actually need an NFA trust? I thought I could buy something like a Serbu super shorty with just the stamp? Looks like I need to read some more.

Rocketman- ooh that is nice!! Pricey though

Check with OC Armory or KE6GUJ... they are both up on everything needed to obtain an AOW.
Yes, you do need a trust, and in it's factory configuration, that Cobray is not an AOW. Easiest way to do it would be to fit it with a forward grip. Not being semiautomatic, that would not trigger AW status, but it would move it to AOW status.

Like the single shot exemption, once it is defined and registered as an AOW, it would remain an AOW, so the forward grip only need to be installed for the duration of DROS.

Without a NFA trust, you will need the Chief Law Enforcement Official (CLEO) of your city/county to sign off on your Form 1/4 along with other stuff (fingerprints/photos).

If you can get your CLEO to sign off on it, then you do not need a NFA trust.
If you can not get your CLEO to sign off on it, then you will need a NFA trust.

Currently, if you apply for a NFA firearm as an individual and do not have a CLEO sign off, then you will not be approved.
