I went a few years back and was disappointed with what was there to the point where I kinda wanted my entry fee back! As I recall, there were no "deals" to be had and lots of cheap Chinese junk for some reason... Hardly any guns and what was there was overpriced.

That was a while back so maybe the shows have gotten better, I'm sure others in SLO county have more recent experiences that might vouch for the show being good. If you do go let us know what you find!

      I agree with you Capt.

If there was no admission fee, I'd go and get a couple dental picks.

But other than that, I can BS and swap lies other places

I'll be going, but not expecting much. $9 is a steep tariff for what's there, but at least parking is freebie. A bunch of old timer tables there with not a lot of serious interest in selling. Then again, I did pick up a fresh RRA rework Int'l Harvester mixmaster M1 for $850 last year, not a steal, but a reasonably fair deal. Maybe I'll pick up some Miwall ammo this time, not really looking for much of anything, save a Stevens 620/Savage720 butt plate. There was a vendor with a table full of old butt plates a year ago when I didn't need one, but he wasn't there last September when I did. Typical. Maybe bring home some jerky for the doggies.

          FYI
I just got back. Miwal was there plus one good powder/bullet/primer vendor. Several AR parts guys with lots of lowers, uppers and parts. Also looked like one jerky guy and only one seller with RC toys.
Over all better than San Jose and real close to Cow Palace shows!

Show was well attended, though thankfully not three deep at the Miwall ammo sales tables like a year ago. I only bought a couple of nice WWII 10 inch bayonet scabbards for $15 a pop, so now my old uncut AFH and UFH bayos have homes. Two memorable guns were, first, an 1898 Marlin 12 ga. shotgun, uncut, okay remaining blue, no significant rust, for $210, dealer immediately offered $20 off, then said he was willing to deal (but I passed, woulda been nice, but I've got enough C&R toys already), and, second, for $250 I think, a 720 Savage, but only the barrel was Savage, the receiver was a suicide safety Remington, incredibly dented and ungodly polished down, no markings remaining, with a Browning Auto-5 trigger group showing the tell-tale engraving on the guard, just amazing that it fits, though the lines didn't match the receiver. An incredible frankenshotgun, maybe for killing zombies? Simply wow. Almost worth the price of admission.

Cool, I'm glad it was kinda worth it. Hopefully, the shows keep getting better and better and maybe I'll try it again.
