They're idiots. The reason this is happening is because they've completely demonized and took away something that some people used legitimately and responsibly...it's because people rather not talk about it and ignore that is why gun control in England is going to turn for the worse. Ignorance is not a good idea..it's the same concept for sex, why not for guns?

The author worked very hard to make it look like the number of gun-related deaths in England has dropped in the last ten years.

"In March and April 1997 - under a Conservative government - there were 10 murders by gun in England alone." vs. "Ten years on, if you look at the gun deaths that took place in June and July 2007 the average age of the five victims had fallen to 25 and that falls to 20 if 47-year-old boxer James Oyebola is excluded."

So by this reporting, in 1997, before the gun ban, there was 0.83 deaths per month in England, but in 2007 there are 2.5 deaths per month. That's three times more deaths after the ban. I would love to see the numbers for all of 2006 to get a more accurate sample.

Also note that the chart at the bottom is dated 2002; I have yet to see one anywhere that's dated after 2002, and I've been looking for any kind of reliable statistics. I wonder why?
