    Beretta Nano...

..bought one tonight. $399.99+tax at Sportsmen Warehouse, Tucson.

Slapped down my AZDL, AZCCW permit and Visa card. Took about 7 minutes to complete the ATF 4473 form and have manager check it over and I was good to go.

I was out the door with my purchase in less than 20 minutes. (Gotta' BS a bit with the clerk, ya' know)

That's how it's done in the free state of Arizona......!

Now, where is my Dupont Nomex coat?

Give a range report. They have had some FTE issues with "low powered" ammo. I'm hoping they turn out to be a good guns. Trade my PM9 for one...gotta keep it all Beretta you know. Lol

I haven't fired the Nano yet, as I bought it tonight and won't hit the indoor pistol range 'till tomorrow afternoon, BUT after cleaning and buffing out some machine marks - IMO, keep your PM9.

I have a Kahr P-380, which IMO has smoother, lighter trigger pull. I have considered the PM9, but it's a few hundred $$$$ more then Nano.

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

Hmm... Not on the roster... I suppose a replacement barrel for SS exemption would be prohibitive. Ugh.

We really need to kill the roster.

I saw the Sig P290 at shot last year and thought the same thing.

First look at my Beretta Nano, SN 00106X:

Trigger pull measured at just over a consistent but evenly smooth (and long) 7lbs. My Kahr P380 measures just under 5lbs. Probably same range as the PM9.

Nano barrel feeding ramp needed buff n' polish using S100 with Dremel to produce mirror finish, which the Kahr handguns already have from factory.

Nano slide feeding ramp is a bit rough. Had bits of brass from factory firing test. Tried to smooth out ramp with flat stone, but still rough. NOT German/Austrian quality steel, IMHO.

After some shooting time, say a few hundred rounds of various ammo, I'll pull out the firing system and look for ways to lighten the trigger action. Also will try to work on the striker action.

Although top heavy without a full magazine (similar to Walther PPS-9), loaded magazine balances out the gun.

The Nano is an interesting compact handgun. If I already owned a PM9, I would NOT trade for a Nano.

About 200 rounds, mixed Federal, Blazer brass, WPA Russian and reloads - No FTF or FTE issues. Accuracy improved as the Nano warmed up. Slide Glide lite was used to lube the little Beretta. Now comes the cleaning chore.
