Looks like it's his first time using a holster. Oh, you're talking about the drills. I always liked reload drills, put 2 or 3 rounds in each magazine and practice shooting, reloading, and shooting again."The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

Mall Ninja FAIL is what I think.
"oh no, I'm out of ammo in my handgun, and can't hit the holster with it. It's a good thing it's on this lanyard, so I can just throw it on the ground"

Not bad. He is still getting used to his gear set up. I know his pain...LOL I just swapped back to single point, rebuilt my Carbine into a Dissipator and have a bruise the size of a grapefruit on my inner thigh now... I haven't trained in winter clothes for like 5 years and I feel like a klutz out there.
Try drawing a secondary with a thick winter coat on... its a bucket of laughs. Did a 4 hour hike yesterday in LPNF, 200 rds of .22lr and 150 of 9mm. I'd hike awhile, set up some clays, run&gun, hike on. Its clear my fun days are well behind me
Drills I like are;
Knock down.
Squat down with the rifle across your hips, hands up. Have someone push you over on to your back, or just tip yourself over. 2 targets 25 yards, two CM hits each, from this position. You are shooting between your knees, move to prone, any style, 2 more CM hits each, stand up, do 1 more each, 10rd Mag is dry. All under 30 seconds.
Injury.
Flip a coin. Head = right, Tales = Left. Stick that hand into your pants pocket or in between a belt and pants just as you would if it was injured to secure it. 10 rds either standing, kneeling or prone, reload one handed, again 10 rds, then draw secondary, empty the magazine on the secondary, reload secondary, empty it again. targets are 25 yards, no time limit. Place a camera on yourself for a hilarious youtube vid. Do it with the other arm secured.
Close the gap
this takes space to do. its basically what Chris and Travis are doing in their AotTC commercial. Multiple targets, two 75 yards, two 50 yards, four 25 yards.
Face away, turn and fire 2 round controlled pairs at the four targets @ 25 yards. Score all CM hits, run to them and use as cover, shoot @ the 50 yard targets, 4 rounds each, run to them, engage the 75 yard targets, 4 rounds each. You can add in controlled pair shots when closing the gap between targets, this empties your magazine and requires a swap-out. For those of us with BBs we swap out at each closing before engaging the next set.Comment
