    Marin County Arms

I was there today for a transfer.

This place is stocked with accessories and the prices are good (at least on the things I checked).

    Professional and smooth transfer.

I've also been there and they have a good selection of accessories and are professional.

Did they change owners or just a new name? Used to be Marin Firearms.

I too have PPT'd there. Nice folks and very professional. Help them out and buy a little something while you are there.

I think owners have changed. The sign above the entrance says Marin County Arms. Some of the price tags on the accessories say Marin Firearms.

One thing I noticed that needs to be addressed by the owners is the revolving rifle racks that are between a floor display stand and the hand gun display case. Not enough room to maneuver. Hence less ability to see the wares for sale in the handgun display case.

Interesting. I didn't notice the revolving rifle rack last time I was there about a month ago. Hmmm.

Was just there the other day and the revolving rifle rack is there. It's not really in the way.

              Great shop.

Last time I was there was before the name change. It was a little stuffy, and the prices were not the best. Guess it's time for me to go back for another visit.

And FWIW, I heard today that Western Sport Shop in San Rafael is closing soon. Prices discounted on a lot of stuff, not sure what all they have left.

Wow, Western Sport Shop has been around since I was a kid. That's too bad

Lot of memories... I bought my first centerfire handgun there in 1976, along with several others and a few long guns as well.

I just got back from Western Sport Shop, and even with the 30% off they are still more expensive than other stores.

Ammo is also 30% off, but it's still way more than purchasing online.
