    Work related carry

Hell and good tidings to all fellow members,
I am not sure if this is the correct place for this but here is my question, I work for a sub contractor to a major energy company here in so California and my job requires me to go out and do Biological surveys in some pretty bad areas of the desert, now what I am asking is it illegal to open carry out in some of these areas of the Mojave Desert? I have ran across wild animals such as dogs as well as your typical weird looking desert folk, been charged by a ram cause of legal grazing in some areas, as well as come close to many Mojave green rattle snakes would applying for a ccw be a better approach or again is it legal to open carry in the desert

Apply for a LTC (CCW). Open Carry is illegal in the state no matter where you are.

Plead your case to which ever counties sheriff and hopefully they side with you.

    Stay safe.
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

This, is FUD. Calling Librarian we need some CPC and DFG stuff here.
...but their exists also in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to attempt to lower the powerful to their own level, and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.

Open carry is still legal pretty much anywhere you can fire a gun, even after the 1st.

Aside from the legality aspect, you also need to think about whether you should get clearance from a supervisor or chance it and carry anyway.

            Ok, so i am wrong?

Thought Jerry Brown passed a bill outlawing UOC.

            Sorry if i am misinformed.

I would talk to my supervisor first and get there permission first and then if ok with that person, get your CCW. Of course it wouldnt hurt to have a CCW anyways..
